Adam,
Thank you of sharing all these pictures. That is honouring the memory of people who served in every allied armies. All are testimonies of dark days,I have a good knowledge of this period,in southern France(operation Anvil-Dragoon): i noticed a few little mistakes, that(,if you need it),i propose to correct!
Best regards
Hi Philippe – I would love any corrections that you have. Please feel free to post them as comments to where you see them, or to send them directly to me. Thank you again very muh!!
My dad was on the Duane during WW2 . Have been thinking of him this Memorial Day weekend. He loved the Duane . What were the years your grandfather served on it?We have many photos also in my family of the Duane. My dad died in 1999 but our family still remembers his stories. As a matter of fact my sisters and I had the Duane etched on his Gravestone! It meant that much to him.How nice that you did this for your Grandfather. Betsy Bianchi
